Diagnosed with the Combined Presentation of ADHD at the age of 44 granted me a validating explanation of the twisted road I’ve walked. It also offered a newfound inspiration to help others like me. Soon after, I returned to finish my B.A., earned a Master's & Credential in Special Education, worked as a Special Education Teacher for two years, & completed a comprehensive 10-month ADHD coaching program. This growth is all due to a gift of awareness of who I am & how I best operate. I want to give that gift to so many who have struggled like me.
Connection over Perfection
The idea of “connection over perfection” is a simple yet powerful reminder of what’s truly important. I didn’t need a gatekeeper when I was struggling in school or at life in general. I needed a guide who could navigate through the complexities and provide positive support tailored to my unique needs. This is the mission.
Why the Blue Palm Tree?
In a world that often measures worth by how well we “fit in,” the blue palm tree stands proudly as a reminder that different does not mean deficient. While deciduous trees are seen as the norm—shedding, resting, and blooming in predictable rhythms—palm trees thrive where others can’t. They bend without breaking, can endure the strongest winds, and provide beauty, shade, and even water to those around them.
For those of us with ADHD, life can feel like we’re constantly misunderstood, and judged for our differences instead of appreciated for our gifts. The blue palm tree represents a calm, confident symbol of our distinct strengths. The light blue color reflects serenity amid life’s storms—because growth, for us, doesn’t come from being “fixed,” but from understanding that we are not broken. We are built differently, intentionally, beautifully.
