ADHD Coaching · San Luis Obispo, CA

A diagnosis isn't a life sentence. It's the start of a new chapter.

I'm Andy Sims, an ADHD coach who was diagnosed at 44. Whether you're a college student navigating the transition on your own or an adult rebuilding your systems later in life, we'll draw up a Blueprint for how your brain actually works, together.

“Andy has been the best thing to happen to our son in five years!”

Compassion. Awareness. Direction.

Two Tracks, One New Chapter

Wherever you're starting from, we build the Blueprint together.

1

Starting College

For college students struggling with the transition without parents managing their schedules. We build the executive function systems that actually hold up in a dorm room, not just on paper.

2

Starting Over

For adults diagnosed later in life who are done blaming themselves for things a diagnosis now explains. We rebuild your systems around who you actually are, not who you were told to be.

“Andy has the biggest heart and ability to see the best in all of us, even when we can't see it ourselves. He really shines when working with younger adults and their families. He was instrumental in helping me understand how I can best support my daughter as she enters college.”

Who I Work With

Coaching built for two specific kinds of New Chapter.

College Students

I help college students struggling with the transition without parents managing their schedules build the routines, time-management, and self-advocacy skills that turn things around, on their own terms.

Adults with ADHD

I help adults with ADHD, especially those diagnosed later in life, replace shame and burnout with systems that fit how their brain actually operates.

About Andy

A coach who has actually lived it.

I was diagnosed with Combined Presentation ADHD at 44, after years of building workarounds I didn't have names for. That diagnosis reframed my whole life, and it's the reason I coach the way I do: as a peer who has been in the exact seat you're in, not just a credentialed outsider looking in.

Before founding ADHD Allies, I spent years in special education classrooms and served in the United States Marine Corps. Both taught me the same lesson: real structure doesn't restrict a person, it gives them room to actually move.
